Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor is best known for his role in the show on television 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Meloni discovered his passion for acting in his early days at the college classroom and then studied acting in The University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he has been active on both television and films however it is his roles on the smaller screen that brought him fame and a large admirers. He has been able to easily play characters on both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' focus. His first television production, he played the role of a serial killer. Later he portrayed the role of an NYPD investigator. He's been nominated numerous times for the prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his small screen appearances. The most appealing feature of his face is said to be his distinctive blue eyes, which are considered to be a trademark and have aided in depicting tough characters that have charisma. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
